Frequently asked questions
Where do you provide services?
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona, so I can provide services to anyone residing in the state. I can provide both virtual and in person sessions. My office is off of N 24th St and E Lincoln Dr.
I also have licensure privileges in Minnesota thanks to the Counseling Compact and can see folks in Minnesota virtually.
So you can’t provide services to people outside of Arizona or Minnesota?
Yes, that’s the case for now—the Counseling Compact has gone into effect for only Arizona and Minnesota so far. Once more join, this will allow me to receive practicing privileges in other states. I’m hoping more join soon.
How often should I have sessions?
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. There’s lots of factors to keep in mind, mostly coming down to severity of symptoms (how bad you’re feeling), budget (how often can you afford it), and time (how often can you carve it in your schedule). My most common frequency is weekly, but many folks come in biweekly, and some even monthly. I’m super flexible and open to whatever works best with your current life. We can start one way and change it up however often you need.
How long will treatment take?
This is another difficult to answer question! It depends on what your goals are, and where you’re at currently. For folks wanting comprehensive treatment for complex trauma, this can take a long time. For folks wanting coping skills for ADHD or anxiety, this can be explored in a few months. It depends on so many unique factors that it just cannot be boxed into generic timelines. Therapy is relational. It’s an ongoing conversation, and I’m very respectful of peoples’ needs changing over time—I never want someone to feel pressure to rush their care or to stay longer than they need.
